The Seychelles Buddhist community had the privilege of welcoming Venerable Palkumbure Chandima Thero to Seychelles for a series of religious and community programmes aimed at promoting Buddhist teachings and fostering spiritual growth.
During his visit, Venerable Chandima Thero conducted Dhamma sermons, a children's programme, a discussion on Buddhism, and a meditation session, providing valuable opportunities for learning, reflection, and community engagement. An alms-giving (Dana) ceremony was also held at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Seychelles, where members of the Sri Lankan community and devotees gathered to offer alms and receive blessings.
The visit, which marked the first visit by a Buddhist monk to Seychelles in five years, strengthened the spiritual bonds of the Buddhist community and helped preserve and promote Sri Lanka's rich Buddhist heritage in Seychelles.
