The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Seychelles, in collaboration with Café Eden and the Sri Lanka Tea Board, celebrated International Tea Day by hosting a High Tea Reception under the theme, "Sustaining Tea, Supporting Communities." The event highlighted the rich heritage, distinctive flavours, and global reputation of Pure Ceylon Tea.
The reception was attended by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Hon. Barry Faure, the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Hon. Amanda Bernstein, members of the diplomatic corps, tourism and business stakeholders, media representatives, and friends of Sri Lanka.
The event offered guests an authentic Ceylon Tea experience and served as a platform to promote Sri Lanka's tea heritage, tourism, and cultural ties, further strengthening the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Seychelles.
