The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Seychelles participated in the official opening of the Women’s Socio-Economic Fair organized by the Women in Action and Solidarity Organization (WASO) to mark International Women’s Day.
Held at ESA CODEVAR in Victoria, Seychelles, the event brought together members of the community to celebrate women’s empowerment and socio-economic development.
As part of the High Commission’s participation, two young Sri Lankan dancers, Tashi Elki Jayasekara and Viduni Sandeena Karunathilaka, presented a traditional Sri Lankan dance during the opening ceremony. Their graceful performance added a vibrant cultural dimension to the event and showcased the rich cultural heritage of Sri Lanka.
